Swiss Journal of Geosciences

Swiss Journal of Geosciences

The Swiss Journal of Geosciences publishes original research and review articles, with a particular focus on the geological evolution of the Tethys realm and the Alpine/Himalayan orogen. By consolidating the former Eclogae Geologicae Helvetiae and the Swiss Bulletin of Mineralogy and Petrology, this international journal covers all disciplines of the solid Earth Sciences, including their practical applications.

The journal welcomes articles that are of wide interest to the international research community, while at the same time recognising the importance of documenting high-quality geoscientific data in a regional context, including the occasional publication of geoscientific maps.

In addition to the three regular issues per year, thematic "Supplementary Issues" are published at irregular intervals. For more information visit the journal website at https://sjg.springeropen.com/

Swiss Journal of Palaeontology

Swiss Journal of Palaeontology

Since 1874 the journal "Schweizerischen Paläontologischen Abhandlungen (Mémoires suisses de Paléontologie)" was published by the Natural History Museum Basel. The journal appeared as a monograph and although dedicated to diverse aspects of Palaeontology, its main focus was on taxonomy. Numerous important contributions gave the journal a strong identity within and outside the palaeontological community. In order to improve visibility of the journal, the commission of the "Schweizerischen Paläontologischen Abhandlungen" decided to adhere to internationa standards and changed the journal's name into Swiss Journal of Palaeontology (Swiss J Palaeontol) with its own website at Birkhäuser/Springer. An international team of editors and a professional publisher guarantee a high standard for the publications. The Swiss Journal of Palaeontology apprears twice yearly, allowing both traditional articles and monographies.

The Swiss Bulletin of Mineralogy and Petrology (SBMP) was published from 1921 to 2005 in three issues per year with papers of international level in mineralogy, petrography, geochemistry, structural geology, isotope geology, ore deposits, applied mineralogy and related fields. SBMP/SMPM is fully digitized and searchable. The archive is offered by seals - the swiss electronic academic library service.
