Cette édition livre également les témoignages de six scientifiques qui expliquent comment ils concilient leur carrière de chercheur et leur rôle de mère ou de père. Horizons montre également de quelle manière les universités suisses se positionnent sur le plan de la technologie quantique. D'autres articles traitent des limites de la satire, de la quête identitaire des Ukrainiens, des prothèses bioniques et des microbes, les nouveaux assistants des agriculteurs.
Horizons suit les dernières nouvelles scientifiques et débat des questions internationales de politique de la recherche. Il paraît quatre fois par an en français et en allemand; une version anglaise est disponible en ligne.
