Excursion and General Assembly 2025 of the Swiss Palaeontological Society (SPG/SPS) in Porrentruy (Switzerland)
The excursion led to the Jurassic Museum in Porrentruy, the quarry near Chevenet (Pteroceras limestone and Virgula marl of the Kimmeridgian), the dinosaur tracks near Courtedoux-Pommerat, and an outcrop on the Banné Hill (Kimmeridgian). Announcement of SPG/SPS General Meeting 2026 with excursion
The next general meeting with excursion will take place on the weekend of August 22nd/23rd, 2026. The planned itinerary includes a visit to the Paleontological Institute and Museum in Tübingen (Saturday) and, on Sunday, visits to the Fossil Museum and Quarry Dotternhausen (Posidonia Shale/Toarcian) as well as the Plettenberg Limestone Quarry.
